About Me

Hello!

I am Matthew Arrojas, a writer and reporter currently living in Miami, Florida. 

I graduated from the University of Florida in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in journalism and an outside concentration in history. I've worked in multiple newsrooms over my career writing a mix of breaking news, investigative, and resource-orientated articles. 

After graduating, I joined the South Florida Business Journal. There, I worked as the hospitality and retail beat reporter. In this role I wrote and published two breaking news articles each day and produced just under a dozen cover stories for our weekly paper each year. I also contributed to our live events.

Next, I became a reporter for the online-only publication BestColleges. My focus there was on policy and regulatory changes within the U.S. higher education system. I also contributed to our transactional content, including college rankings, which flexed my ability to write marketing-heavy copy designed to perform well on search engines.
